Valerie Marvin is the founder and principal of The Mediation Group.
A lawyer and a member of the New York and Connecticut bars since 1989, Valerie brings her professional experience and
expertise into her work as a mediator/neutral and identifies the importance of distinguishing her role in this work from her role as
attorney/advocate. As mediator she does not advocate for any participant, position or outcome but endeavors to understand all
the issues of importance, guides the communication and information gathering and honors the participants’ capacity to frame their process and take a leadership role in their decision-making.
